Quick start
Use these steps to get the client installed and ready before joining the server.
Run the installer, open Braai Master Client, then sign in with your website account. If you do not have one yet, use Create Account from the login screen.
This is your Rust toolkit: raid, recycle, smelt, craft and decay calculators, the plant genetics breeder, a live server map, timers, vending search, and more.
Pair Rust+ from the Companion page to unlock live team positions, smart-device control, and monitored storage. It only needs a verified Steam account and active play on the server.
What the client gives you
The client keeps the important Braai Master tools close while you play, so you are not hunting through Discord messages or separate browser tabs mid-session.
A full Rust toolkit
Calculators, a live server map, timers, vending search and a chat-bot, grouped on one page. Most tools work without pairing anything.
Plan every cost
Work out raid costs, recycler output, smelting fuel, crafting components and decay deadlines before you commit resources.
Breed better plants

The Companion toolkit
The Companion page is the heart of the client. It groups Rust tools so you can plan a raid, cost a craft, breed plants, or watch the map without alt-tabbing into a browser.
Calculators (no pairing needed)
The calculators work the moment you open the client. Cost a raid in explosives and sulfur, see exact recycler output, work out smelting fuel and crafting components, and check when a base goes vulnerable with the decay timer.
The genetics breeder
The genetics tool plans plant crossbreeds for you: a single-cross planner, a multi-step breeding path, and a sandbox to test custom crosses. Enter clone codes with the scanner, and a short tutorial walks you through it.
Live game tools
A live server map shows monuments, grid references, world events like cargo, heli and chinook, and resource activity. Search vending machines across the server, track event timers, and ask the chat-bot about recipes and resources.

Pairing Rust+
Pairing Rust+ links the client to your character on the server so a handful of tools can show live, real-time data while you play.
How to pair
Use the Pair Rust+ button at the top of the Companion page or on the Team tab. There is no in-game step to fiddle with: it pairs automatically as long as you have a verified Steam account linked and you are actively playing on the Braai Master server. The header shows your pairing status.
What it unlocks
Pairing turns on the live tools: your team's online and alive status with grid positions, control of your smart switches and alarms, and a ledger of your monitored storage boxes. Everything else in the Companion page works without it.

The in-game overlay
The overlay is a separate in-game surface that will install from the client's Rust page. It is coming soon: the installer is greyed out until release, with the full in-game toolset rolling out over time.
How to install it
The overlay is coming soon. When it releases, you will install it from the client's Rust page — the client handles the download and lets you boot the overlay over your game. Until then the installer is greyed out.
What to expect right now
While the overlay is being finished, the live map, timers, calculators and team tools already live in the client window's Companion page, so you have them on a second monitor or with a quick alt-tab.

Why it is worth using
Rust rewards awareness and preparation. The client gives you both: cost a raid before you craft, breed the genes you actually want, watch your team and storage live, see how your stats compare, and keep your group in sync.

Help and common questions
No technical knowledge is required. The client is meant to feel like a normal desktop app.
Do I need the client to play on the Rust server?
No. You can play normally without it. The client adds Braai Master tools on top: the companion toolkit, stats, social features, map voting, and the overlay.
What is the Companion page?
It is your Rust toolkit inside the client: raid, recycle, smelt, craft and decay calculators, the plant genetics breeder, a live server map, vending search, timers and a chat-bot. Most of it works without pairing anything.
Do I need to pair Rust+, and how?
Only if you want the live tools (team positions, smart devices, monitored storage). Pairing is automatic from the Companion page once you have a verified Steam account linked and are playing on the server. Everything else works without it.
Is the overlay the same as the Companion page?
No. The Companion page lives in the client window and has the live toolkit today. The in-game overlay is a separate surface that is still in its Foundation phase, with its full in-game tools rolling out over time.
What does the Server Activity Map show?
It is a live heatmap of where the wipe is actually happening. It plots death and activity hotspots across the server map, ranks the deadliest zones this wipe, and overlays monuments and small POIs as references. Signed in, you can pull up your own 24-hour timeline of deaths and movement, follow a trusted friend's recent path, and double-click any spot to inspect it and drop a shareable pin. You do not need to sign in just to view the map.
Why should I sign in, and is my account secure?
Signing in connects the client to your account so personal stats, social tools, voting and Rust+ pairing work. You can protect your account with two-factor authentication, and trust a device for 30 days so you are not prompted every time.
