02Calculators
Know the sulfur before you commit
Pick what you are breaking and the raid calculator costs it out in explosives and raw sulfur, so you find out what a push actually takes before you burn a farm on it. Recycler output, smelting fuel, crafting components and decay deadlines work the same way.

03Genetics
Breed the genes you actually want
Enter the clones you are holding and the genome you are chasing, and the breeder works out which ones to plant together. When a single cross cannot reach your target it maps the multi-step path instead, and a sandbox lets you test ideas without wasting seeds.

Pick the map you have to live on
Every wipe goes to a vote, and the client shows the candidate seeds with live counts and a full map preview of each one before you pick. The winning seed is the one that gets built, so the map you spend two weeks on is the one the server chose.

10In-game overlay
The overlay, honestly
The overlay is a separate in-game surface that installs from the client's Rust page, and it is not finished yet. The public build ships a Foundation status panel while the full in-game toolset is still being built. The live tools already work today in the client window's Companion page, on a second monitor or a quick alt-tab.

Everything live in the client comes through Rust+, the same connection Facepunch's own companion app uses, and it only ever shows you what that connection is allowed to show: your team, your devices, your storage. No technical knowledge required. The client is meant to feel like a normal desktop app.
Do I need the client to play on the Rust server?
No. You can play normally without it. The client adds Braai Master tools on top: the companion toolkit, stats, social features, map voting, and the overlay.
What is the Companion page?
It is your Rust toolkit inside the client: raid, recycle, smelt, craft and decay calculators, the plant genetics breeder, a live server map, vending search, timers and a chat-bot. Most of it works without pairing anything.
Do I need to pair Rust+, and how?
Only if you want the live tools (team positions, smart devices, monitored storage). Pairing is automatic from the Companion page once you have a verified Steam account linked and are playing on the server. Everything else works without it.
Is the overlay the same as the Companion page?
No. The Companion page lives in the client window and has the live toolkit today. The in-game overlay is a separate surface that is still in its Foundation phase, with its full in-game tools rolling out over time.
What does the Server Activity Map show?
It is a live heatmap of where the wipe is actually happening. It plots death and activity hotspots across the server map, ranks the deadliest zones this wipe, and overlays monuments and small POIs as references. Signed in, you can pull up your own 24-hour timeline of deaths and movement, follow a trusted friend's recent path, and double-click any spot to inspect it and drop a shareable pin. You do not need to sign in just to view the map.
Why should I sign in, and is my account secure?
Signing in connects the client to your account so personal stats, social tools, voting and Rust+ pairing work. You can protect your account with two-factor authentication, and trust a device for 30 days so you are not prompted every time.
