Operator and Electronic Transaction Information

Braai Master is operated from South Africa. Before paid checkout is made generally available, the operator details below must be completed with the exact legal details of the person, company, or other legal entity that operates the service.

Prices, product descriptions, payment methods, premium durations, refund rules, and account requirements are shown on the premium page and during checkout. PayPal and Stripe are independent payment providers and their own terms may also apply.

Privacy Policy

How We Handle Personal Information

This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, why we collect it, how we use it, when we share it, and what choices or rights you may have. We aim to handle personal information in line with South Africa's Protection of Personal Information Act, 2013 (POPIA). Where laws such as the GDPR or UK GDPR apply to a user, we will also handle applicable rights requests in line with those laws.

• To provide and maintain the website, accounts, Discord-linked features, client, overlay, bot, and Rust server integrations.
• To verify identity links, process premium entitlements, sync Discord roles, and apply Rust queue or supporter permissions.
• To run support, appeals, moderation, safety, anti-abuse, anti-cheat, dispute, and staff review workflows.
• To publish community features such as profiles, forum content, leaderboards, map votes, clans, groups, and server feed messages where those features are intended to be visible.
• To secure the Services, diagnose errors, prevent spam, enforce rules, investigate abuse, and keep audit records.
• To comply with legal, tax, accounting, consumer protection, payment, and law-enforcement obligations where applicable.

Legal Grounds

Depending on the context, we process information because it is needed to provide the Services you requested, because you consented, because it is required by law, because it is needed to protect users and the Services, or because we have a legitimate operational interest that is not overridden by your rights. Public posts, server feed messages, profile content, leaderboard entries, and similar community content may be visible to other users by design.

Cookies and Similar Technologies

We use cookies and local storage for sign-in sessions, CSRF protection, account state, theme or interface preferences, notification state, and security. Some features may not work correctly without necessary cookies. Third-party services such as Discord, Steam, Stripe, PayPal, Cloudflare, email providers, or hosting providers may use their own cookies or logs when you interact with them.

Sharing and Third Parties

We may share information where needed with:

• Discord, where account linking, roles, tickets, webhooks, moderation logs, or community features use Discord.
• Steam or Valve-related services, where Steam linking, Rust identity, or game-server features require Steam identifiers.
• Stripe and PayPal, where you subscribe or complete payment.
• Hosting, email, database, analytics, security, storage, backup, and infrastructure providers that help us operate the Services.
• Staff or trusted moderators who need access for support, moderation, appeals, safety, payment support, or abuse investigations.
• Authorities, courts, regulators, payment providers, or affected parties where required by law or reasonably needed to protect rights, safety, security, or prevent fraud and abuse.

We do not sell personal information. We may transfer information outside South Africa where our providers, infrastructure, payment systems, or Discord/Steam/Stripe/PayPal integrations require it. We use reasonable safeguards and only transfer what is needed for the relevant purpose.

Retention

We keep information only for as long as it is reasonably needed for the purposes described here, unless a longer period is required for legal, tax, accounting, moderation, security, payment, fraud-prevention, backup, or dispute reasons. Some public or community records may remain visible until removed, anonymised, archived, or deleted through normal moderation or account processes. Payment and entitlement records may be retained to deal with refunds, chargebacks, tax, fraud, and audit requirements.

Security

We use reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect information against unauthorised access, loss, misuse, alteration, or disclosure. No online service is perfectly secure. If we become aware of a personal information breach that requires notice, we will notify affected users and the Information Regulator or other relevant regulator where required by applicable law.

Your Rights

Subject to applicable law and identity verification, you may request access to your personal information, correction, deletion, objection to processing, restriction of processing, portability where applicable, withdrawal of consent where processing relies on consent, and information about third parties who have had access to your personal information. Some requests may be refused or limited where we need to keep records for legal, security, payment, moderation, fraud-prevention, dispute, or public-interest reasons.

South African users may also complain to the Information Regulator. Users in the EEA or UK may have the right to complain to their local data protection authority where GDPR or UK GDPR applies.

Terms of Service

Rules for Using Braai Master

By using the Services, creating an account, joining our Discord, connecting Steam, using the client or overlay, playing on our Rust server, opening a ticket, posting content, or purchasing premium access, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Services.

Accounts and Eligibility

• You are responsible for your own account, linked accounts, device, and activity performed through them.
• You must provide accurate account and payment information and keep your credentials secure.
• You must meet the minimum age required by Discord, Steam, PayPal, Stripe, and applicable law. If you are not legally able to agree to these Terms or make purchases, you need permission from a parent or legal guardian.
• We may require email, Discord, Steam, or other identity verification before allowing access to some features or benefits.

Acceptable Use

You must not:

• Cheat, exploit, automate gameplay unfairly, bypass queues unlawfully, abuse bugs, evade bans, or help others do so.
• Harass, threaten, dox, impersonate, scam, spam, grief, hate-speech, or attack other users, staff, or the Services.
• Upload malware, steal credentials, attack APIs, scrape private data, bypass rate limits, or interfere with security.
• Post illegal, infringing, obscene, private, or harmful content, or content that violates game, Discord, server, or website rules.
• Sell, transfer, sublicense, reverse engineer, tamper with, or misuse the client, overlay, bot, website, premium status, or server integrations.
• Use the Services where doing so would violate applicable law.

Game Rules, Staff Decisions, and Enforcement

Server rules, Discord rules, ticket rules, premium rules, and staff instructions form part of these Terms. We may warn, mute, kick, ban, revoke access, remove content, disable premium benefits, unlink accounts, delete accounts, or take other reasonable action where we believe rules were broken, safety is at risk, payments are disputed, fraud is suspected, or the Services are being abused. We may keep moderation records to enforce bans, prevent evasion, handle appeals, and protect the community.

User Content

You keep ownership of content you create, but you give Braai Master a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to host, store, copy, display, publish, moderate, adapt for formatting, and use that content as needed to operate, promote, protect, and improve the Services. Content posted to public or shared areas may be visible to other users and may be retained in logs, backups, tickets, transcripts, or moderation records.

Premium, Payments, and Refunds

• Premium access is a revocable digital service benefit, not ownership of an item, server slot, account, role, or property.
• Premium benefits may include Discord roles, website badges, client status, overlay access, Rust queue priority, queue skip, supporter identity, or other perks shown on the premium page.
• Rust benefits require a linked and verified Steam ID64. Discord benefits require a linked Discord account. Benefits may not apply while a server, bot, bridge, RCON connection, payment provider, or sync job is offline.
• Stripe subscriptions are managed through Stripe and may renew, cancel, downgrade, or fail according to Stripe rules. PayPal once-off products are fulfilled after successful capture and may expire after the advertised duration.
• Charges are payable in advance. Refunds are handled according to the product description, provider rules, and applicable consumer law. We may refuse or revoke benefits for chargebacks, reversals, fraud, abuse, ban evasion, or rule breaches.
• We may change premium features, queue methods, prices, durations, or product names. If a change materially affects active paid access, we will try to provide reasonable notice through the website, Discord, or account surfaces.

Service Availability and Changes

The Services are provided as community services and may change, break, restart, wipe, lose data, or go offline. We may modify, suspend, retire, or limit any feature, server, page, bot command, client feature, overlay feature, or integration at any time, including for security, cost, operational, legal, or community reasons.

Third-Party Services and No Affiliation

Discord, Steam, Valve, Facepunch, Rust, Stripe, PayPal, Cloudflare, hosting providers, and other third-party services are independent from Braai Master. Their own terms and policies apply. Braai Master is not endorsed by, sponsored by, or affiliated with Facepunch Studios, Valve, Steam, Discord, Stripe, or PayPal unless explicitly stated in writing by those parties.

Intellectual Property

The Braai Master name, website, designs, code, bot configuration, client, overlay, documentation, and original content are owned by or licensed to Braai Master, except for third-party marks and assets. You receive only a limited, personal, revocable, non-transferable licence to use the Services as intended.

Disclaimers and Liability

To the maximum extent allowed by law, the Services are provided "as is" and "as available". We do not guarantee uninterrupted access, error-free operation, preservation of all data, compatibility with every device, or that all premium benefits will be available at all times. Nothing in these Terms excludes liability that cannot be excluded under applicable law. Otherwise, Braai Master's liability is limited to the amount you paid to Braai Master for the affected digital service during the three months before the event giving rise to the claim.

Indemnity

You agree to indemnify and hold Braai Master, its operators, staff, and moderators harmless from claims, losses, costs, damages, and expenses arising from your breach of these Terms, your misuse of the Services, your content, your payment dispute or fraud, or your violation of another person's rights.

Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of South Africa, unless mandatory consumer or data protection laws in your location require otherwise. Courts or forums with jurisdiction in South Africa may hear disputes, subject to any mandatory rights you have under applicable law.

Changes

We may update this page from time to time. The updated version applies when posted, unless a later effective date is stated. If a change is material, we will try to give reasonable notice through the website, Discord, account pages, or premium surfaces.
